Application Form For Nomination Under Self Financing Scheme For Foreign Students Academic Year 2015-16

APPLICATIONS FROM FOREIGN STUDENTS FOR NOMINATIONS TO UNDERGRADUATE COURSES IN MBBS/BDS, BACHELOR OF ENGINEERING((B.E.), BACHELOR OF PHARMACY, DIPLOMA IN ENGINEERING AND DIPLOMA IN PHARMACY UNDER SELF-FINANCING SCHEME FOR THE ACADEMIC YEAR 2015-16.

The following documents are required for admission:

  • Three copies of candidate’s recent photographs duly pasted at prescribed places in the application.
  • Three attested copies of candidate’s certificates and marks sheets with percentage of marks of the qualifying examination (A certificate from the Association of Indian Universities (AIU), New Delhi that the candidate’s qualifying examination is equivalent to 10+2 standard of CBSE in India for the purpose of admission to MBBS/BDS/B.E/B. Pharmacy/Diploma in Engineering/Diploma in Pharmacy courses must be enclosed . The website of Association of Indian Universities (http://www.aiuweb.org/Evaluation/evaluation.asp) may be consulted in this regard.
  • Three attested copies of candidate’s:
    a) first four pages of the passport.
    b) citizenship certificate.
    c) birth certificate.
    d) character certificate from the Head of Institution last attended.

Eligibility criteria for various courses:

  • For admission to MBBS/BDS courses: A candidate must have secured a minimum of 60% aggregate marks with at least 60% in Physics, Chemistry and Biology (Botany & Zoology) separately and 50% in English in the qualifying examination (equivalent to 10+2 standard of CBSE in India – equivalence certificate from AIU, New Delhi as requested in para 3(ii) above must be enclosed).
  • For B.E.course: A candidate must have secured a minimum of 60% aggregate marks with at least 60% in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics separately and 50% in English in the qualifying examination (equivalent to 10+2 standard of CBSE in India – equivalence certificate from AIU, New Delhi as requested in para 3(ii) above must be enclosed).
  • For B.Pharmacy/Diploma in Pharmacy courses: A candidate must have secured a minimum of 60% aggregate marks with at least 60% in Physics, Chemistry, Biology (Botany & Zoology) separately and 50% in English in the qualifying examination (equivalent to 10+2 standard of CBSE in India – equivalence certificate from AIU, New Delhi as requested in para 3(ii) above must be enclosed).
  • For Diploma in Engineering Course: A candidate must have secured a minimum of 60% aggregate marks with at least 60% in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics separately in the first attempt and 50% in English in 10th as well in 12th Grade examination. (equivalence certificate from AIU, New Delhi as requested in para 3(ii) above must be enclosed)..

    (i) It may please be noted that for admission to 1st year Diploma in Engineering course, the age limit of the candidate should be below 21 years as on 1.8.2015.

  • Foreign students can also apply for nomination pending final declaration of their qualifying examination results equivalent to 10+2 standard of CBSE. Nomination of such candidates will, however, depend upon their being eligible on the basis of merit..
  • It may kindly be noted that merely forwarding their applications should not be treated as assurance for their nomination by the Government of India. The concerned Ministry will scrutinize all the applications and only after these are found complete in all respects, the names of the eligible applicants will be considered for nomination in the order of merit and preference for the course.
  • Selected candidates are expected to comply with admission formalities and procedures of the respective colleges/universities. These may include specific medical examinations including Aids test in India.
  • The lists of colleges for MBBS/B. Pharmacy courses and Engineering courses(as per last year’s allocation) are enclosed at Annexure-I , II & III respectively. The seats are generally allocated in these Colleges / Institutes but may vary depending on final allocation by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare and Ministry of Human Resource Development respectively.
  • It may please be noted that above seats are on self-finance basis and Government of India does not provide any financial aid/scholarships to foreign students selected under above Scheme.
  • Students are requested to send completed applications (in the prescribed proforma) to Embassy of India, Addis Ababa by1st May, 2015.
  • Blank application forms are enclosed.
